Fontur is an incredibly talented horse. His gaits are powerful and high stepping with very fast clean tölt. He has competed at Landsmót and many other competitions, often placing in the top ten. He is a horse with a lot of speed and power and is not a horse for a timid rider. His offspring have been doing very well and some have already received first prize this spring. He was named one of the best kept secrets as a breeding horse in Eidfaxi last summer. He has a high fertility rate and all the mares he covered this summer are in foal.

His brother Vilmundur frá Feti has also been gaining popularity as a breeding horse. Fontur has very strong bloodlines on both sire and dam’s side with honor stallion Orri frá Þúfu on his fathers side and honor stallion Kraflar frá Miðsitju on his mother’s side.
